Today we present you a brief report on the work that has been done.
Given: HIMER camper, air conditioner (Truma) installed on the roof does not work. The air conditioner is not connected directly to the engine, it is powered by the camper's own 220v mains. After removing and partial disassembling, the reason was revealed: the manufacturer's failure (or a design defect), in particular, connections of pipes are made by crimping with aluminum sleeves and under vibration loads during exploitation the hermeticity in these connections is lost. Besides, the system is made according to the maintenance-free scheme - there are no fittings for refilling of the refrigerant, which means that in fact the design is very similar to a usual domestic fridge. What has been done: After removal, all leaking (and suspicious connections) have been replaced - everything was soldered. Fittings were integrated into the system to provide the possibility of further maintenance of the unit. We checked the tightness of the system (vacuum), charged the refrigerant, checked the operability, assembled the unit and installed it back on the car. Execution time is 3 days. The above example is not a typical case for our company - usually we do not repair, but create (or re-equip) campers and vans, but if your camper has any problems - please contact us, we will try to help.
